Alocasia Platinum has silvery matte leaves with dark green, deep veins running through it - and under the leaf is pale silvery white with burgundy veins. The coloration on young leaves deepens with maturity. This rare Alocasia is easy to care for, following its basic care requirements of bright, indirect light, a well-draining potting mix that holds some moisture.

Plant care:

Light: Happy with bright, indirect light.

Temperature: 16°C – 27ºC.

Water: Water regularly to maintain moist soil but do not let the soil become soggy since the plant is prone to root rot.

Humidity: Keep the leaves looking fresh & healthy by misting regularly. Recommended humidity: 50%.

Soil: Very important to have well draining potting mix (we recommend Urban Potting mix from For My Plants), can be added orchid mix and coco coir.

Fertilizer: Use a balanced liquid fertiliser, diluted by half, every six weeks during the growing season (the spring and summer).

Toxicity: The leaves of plant are toxic to humans or animals: if eating it causes a swelling and discomfort in the mouth and gastrointestinal tract.
