DESCRIPTION

Araucaria heterophylla is a tropical plat native to Norfolk Island, Australia. It looks like a pine (making it a great addition to Scandi interior styles), making it a great Christmas tree that can stay inside year-round. Araucaria heterophylla has a straight trunk and pleasingly symmetrical branches covered with short, inward-curving needles.

With its widely spaced branches and symmetrical, triangular outline, the Norfolk Island Pine is a great indoor pet.

Plant care:

Light: Happy at bright indirect to medium light. Avoid direct sunlight.
Temperature: Indoor normal temperature, min 5ºC.
Water: Let the top of the soil to dry out before next watering. Keep moist on summer. Mist: regularly.
Humidity: Recommended humidity: 40 - 60%.
Soil: Well draining potting mix (rich, sandy and acidic, preferring a pH in the 4.5-5.5 range).
Fertilizer: Use a balanced liquid fertilizer, during the growing season once a month.
Toxicity: not toxic to people.
