Chamaedorea elegans is part of Arecaceae family. Also known as Parlour Palm. It is native to Mexico and Central America.
Chamaedorea elegans will thrive in bright indirect light (plenty of light can encourage flowering), but can tolerate shade. The best way is to let the top 2-4 cm of the soil to dry out before next watering. Don’t let the palm to sit in water, this plant doesn't like soggy soil, so must be kept in a well draining potting mix. Consider giving your palm the occasional misting.
