DESCRIPTION

Dypsis lutescens (Areca Palm) has smooth, sometimes golden trunks that are reminiscent of bamboo clumps. Areca's leaves are narrow and full.

Areca Palm is easy to care for, following its basic care requirements of bright indirect light and medium watering. The best way is to let the top 3-5 cm of the soil to dry out before next watering. It is fine to keep the soil little bit moist at all time on summer time. Don’t let the palm to sit in water, this plant doesn't like soggy soil, so must be kept in a well draining potting mix.

Fertilizer: Use a balanced liquid fertilizer, during the growing season.
Toxicity: Areca Palm isn't toxic.
