DESCRIPTION

Ficus Elastica Abidjan is part of Moraceae family. It is native to India and Indonesia. This rubber tree is a charming plant with deep purple glossy leaves. This tall indoor plant brings a tropical look and cleans the indoor air from pollutants.

Ficus is easy to care for, following its basic care requirements of bright, indirect to medium light. Keep the soil lightly moist at all times. Don’t let the plant to sit in water, overwatering will cause leaf drop. Plant must be kept in a well draining potting mix. Avoid cold draughts.

Light: Happy at bright, indirect to moderate light
Temperature: 16°C – 24ºC.
Water: soil must almost dry out before next watering. Mist: occasionally.
Humidity: Recommended humidity: 40-60%.
Soil: Very important to have well draining potting mix (we recommend Potting mix from For My Plants).
Fertilizer: Use a balanced liquid fertilizer, once a month during the growing season.
Toxicity: Ingestion may cause severe discomfort.
