Ficus Lyrata is part of Moraceae family. It is native to Western Africa. This Ficus has large, fiddle-shaped leaves (violin like shape) with veins.
The splendid fiddle-shaped leaves of the ficus lyrata continue to grace the pages of interiors magazines, with the popularity of this deliciously retro plant showing no sign of waning.
Ficus Lyrata is easy to care for, following its basic care requirements of bright, indirect light to partial shade or some early morning or late afternoon light. Allow the top 2-5 cm of the top soil to dry out between waterings. Keep the soil lightly moist at all times. Don’t let the soil to dry out completely or sit in water, this plant doesn't like wet feet, so must be kept in a well draining potting mix. Avoid cold draughts.
