Hoya wayetii Tricolor is a member of the epiphytic Apocynaceae or Dogbane family of plants. Also known as wax plant which has a stunning leaf color mix of green, cream and soft pink. Hoya can be grown as a trailing plant, or trained up with a support. This plant is native to the Philippines.

This Hoya can produce pink flowers with a sweet fragrance that gets stronger at night time. Interestingly the stress of being root-bound encourages Hoya to bloom, so don't repot it often. Pruning its stems will make the plant bushier and encourage it to produce new flowers. It can bloom several times a year, so don't forget to fertilize it.

This Hoya is easy to care for, following its basic care requirements of bright, indirect light (It can tolerate 1-2 hours of direct light on a daily basis, especially if this is from morning sun), and let it dry out between waterings. Don’t let Hoya sit in water, this plant doesn't like wet feet, so must be kept in a well draining potting mix. Be careful with over-watering your Hoyas because they store the water in their leaves.
