The Monstera Adansonii or Monstera Monkey Leaf is a part of the Araceae family. It is native to Central and South America, parts of southern Mexico, and the West Indies. Adansonii is a variety of Monstera deliciosa with classic irregular holes in its leaves. This lovely climbing plant grows best with increased humidity, but it will do fine in regular household humidity. Monstera can be grown as a trailing or climbing plant.
Monstera Adansonii is easy to care for, following its basic care requirements of bright indirect to medium light. Avoid full sun conditions. Too much light will cause sunburn. It likes medium watering. The best way is to let the top 3-5 cm of the soil to dry out before next watering. Don’t let the plant to sit in water, it doesn't like wet feet, so must be kept in a well draining potting mix.
It’s not a fussy plant, therefore is great for beginners.
!Please note that each plant is unique and variations of appearance may occur between each one.
