Pachira aquatica is part of mallow family. It is native to Central and South America swamps.

This multi stemmed plant is braided and the top has the five-lobed leaf arrangement which is considered lucky.
Pachira aquatica is easy to care for, following its basic care requirements of bright indirect light. Keep the soil lightly moist all of the time, but never let soil get soggy. Allow the top 3cm of the soil to slightly dry out in-between watering. This plant stores water in its trunk.
