Stephania erecta (Stephania pierrei) is a tuberous plant that grows from a potato-like bulb into a beautiful climbing plant. It produces cute coin-shaped leaves. The plant grows during spring and summer and goes dormant in winter time.
Stephania erecta is native to the tropical forests of South and East Asia, where it grows in peat moss. It thrives best in high humidity and likes a warm, bright spot, but no direct sunlight. Make Stephania happy by giving her some climbing support.
