Trachycarpus fortunei is part of Arecaceae family. It is native to southern and central China. This single-stemmed fan palm has very unusual stem which is covered with brown fibres.
Trachycarpus fortunei is easy to care for, following its basic care requirements of bright, indirect light. Will love a few hours of direct morning or late afternoon direct light. This plant can be taken outdoors seasonally. Water when the top 5-10 cm of the soil are dry. Don’t let it to sit in water, this plant doesn't like wet feet, so must be kept in a well draining potting mix. Water less in winter.
